I was the coordinator and assistant professor of music education at the University of Tennessee at Martin. I taught music education courses, conducted the UTM Orchestra, supervised student teachers, and advised upper division music education majors.

I taught orchestra and IB Music at Annandale High School in Fairfax County, Virginia. I directed a program of nearly 120 students varying from beginners to pre-professionals. This program was comprised with a wealth of English Language Learners, low income students, and students from all over the world.
