Dr. Michael Chandler taught music and movement to children in Texas public schools for 16 years. His student ensembles performed by invitation at the annual Texas Music Educators Conference in San Antonio in 2005, 2007, and 2013. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Music and the Coordinator of Music Education at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Dr. Chandler has taught all three levels of Orff Schulwerk basic and recorder in AOSA-approved teacher education courses across the United States. He earned the PhD degree in music education from the University of North Texas in Denton and was a piano accompanist with the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas for 10 years. Dr. Chandler is recognized nationally as a workshop and conference presenter and is the author of Everyday Recorder, Recorder Everyday!, an Orff Schulwerk approach to introducing recorder in the general music classroom.https://criticalpedagogyelectrified.files.wordpress.com/2018/10/episode-18-with-michael-chandler.mp3
